ROBBO IN LINE FOR AWARD

Posted on: Thu 07 Jan 2010

Carlisle United fans are being urged to show their support to one of their players, by voting for him to win a coveted goal of the round competition.

The Johnstone's Paint Trophy has shortlisted Matty Robson's fabulous goal for the Cumbrians against Bradford City to win the competition's area semi-final Ultimate Finish award.

Supporters are asked to view exclusive video footage displayed on the website, featuring Matty's effort and two other goals, with the most popular goal winning.

The best goal will be announced on the website and all fans that vote for the same winning strike will be shortlisted into a prize draw. Each round, the winning goalscorer will be presented with a "Johnstone's Paint Ultimate Finish Award" and one lucky entrant will win an iPod nano.

Johnstone's Paint Trophy's sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick added: "The goals just get better and better as each round passes. Matty's was certainly worthy of being shortlisted and we hope that all Carlisle fans will get voting for him."

After the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final, fans and customers will then have the opportunity to vote for the 'Best 3 Goals of the Season.'

The winning goalscorers will be presented with a "Johnstone's Paint Ultimate Finish of the Season Award" and one lucky entrant will win a fantastic Sony Playstation 3 console with latest Fifa game.

To enter log onto www.johnstonespainttrophy.com and vote for your top goal from the area semi final games played on the 15 December 2009.

Key dates for online voting along with the terms and conditions of entry can be found on the website at the point of entry.

Alternatively, call into your nearest Johnstone's & Leyland decorating centre and pick up a postcard outlining the key dates and competition details.
