Ticket sales for the January FA Cup third round tie at Goodison Park stood at exactly 4,000 at 5pm tonight, leaving 1,894 still to be sold as big match tickets go on general sale on Friday.

Ticket office manager Christine Metcalfe said: "We had some large queues first thing this morning but they were quickly dealt with and there has been a steady stream of people coming to purchase tickets ever since.

"We expect it to busy again tomorrow morning as we go into our first day of general ticket sales."
