CARLISLE UNITED 3 (Pericard 12, Hurst 46, Keogh 72) NORWICH CITY 1 (Holt 26) FT
1909 - Excellent performance from United in the second-half, getting off to a flyer with Hurst's early strike and Norwich never really recovered. Collin in the United goal had little to do, thanks to some very good performances from the United defence. Up front, Pericard was a strong focal point that the Norwich defenders never really recovered from. It means United are in the Third Round for the first-time in 9 years. Last time it was Arsenal... how about Manchester United this time? Keep an eye out for ball 56 in the draw tomorrow. I'll be back on Tuesday night for the League One fixture against Hartlepool United, so join me then!
FULL-TIME - Carlisle United 3 Norwich City 1
90+2 min - Norwich finally decide to have a go and it's McDonald who has a shot from 20 yards that has Collin diving across to palm away to safety. Decent stop by the United keeper, who has been a spectator for much of the second-half.
90+1 min - Good play down the left wing by Hurst, who beats his man and sends in a left-wing cross that has Forster coming to claim it with Dobie lurking.
90 min - The fourth official has indicated that there will be four minutes of time added on at the end of the game. Not sure where that's come from!
89 min - Norwich are going nowhere at the moment, passing the ball along their own backline to the ironic cheers of United fans for each pass.
87 min - United make their first change of the game, brining on Scott Dobie for the exhausted Vincent Pericard.
86 min - Vincent Pericard has been announced as the sponor's Man of the Match. Can't really argue with that, his hold-up play has been superb today. A few other contenders mind, with Keogh, Hurst and Kav all impressing.
81 min - Good play in the other corner this time by Robson, who wins a corner for United. Kav goes over for a right-footed inswinger... but instead he plays it short to Pericard who lays it off for Harte but his shot on the edge of the box is blocked and cleared to safety.
79 min - Norwich make their final change, with Simon Lappin coming off for Josh Dawkin.
78 min - Brilliant hold-up play by the right-wing corner flag from Pericard wins United a corner after Drury puts it out. Kav goes over and sends in another right-footed outswinger that's headed out of the area as far as Hurst. He cleverly flicks it back to Kav, who beats is man before dinking in a cross that finds Harte but he heads over after getting under the ball.
76 min - Pericard is again pulled by Doherty and wins a free-kick on the left-wing corner of the 18-yard box. Harte sends in a cross to the far post but no-ones there and it goes out for a throw-in on the far side.
74 min - Robson is away down the left, he turns Otsemobor one way then the other, but his eventual cross is straight into the arms of Forster.
72 min - GOAL! Carlisle United 3 Norwich City 1 - Good link up between Hurst and Pericard on the left, sees the latter send in a cross which forces Otsemobor to head it out for a corner with Robson lurking. The corner from Kav's a poor one that's head straight back to him, but his second cross is a beauty, finding Keogh at the far post who head it past a helpless Forster.
71 min - Norwich make a double change, with Chris Martin and Darel Russell coming off for Stephen Hughes and Cody McDonald. Meanwhile, Pericard tries a quick right-foot curler from 25 yards which has Forster scrambling but it goes wide.
70 min - Anyinsah turns 20 yards out and shoots, but sees it deflected behind for a corner. Kav takes a right-footed outswinger that finds Keogh but he's ahead of the ball and heads it straight up in the air, before Norwich clear to safety.
68 min - Good attacking play by United first sees a Hurst shot blocked. Murphy then lays it a lovely ball out to Robson who turns onto his right-foot and sends in a cross that Forster does very well to claim with Anyinsah waiting to head in.
67 min - Casual defending by United from a Doherty free-kick sees Lappin win the ball 20 yards out but his curling effort flies over the bar for a goal-kick.
66 min - Corner to Norwich on the right-wing after Martin's shot is deflected wide. Lappin goes over to take a left-footed inswinger that misses everyone and finds Smith on the wing but he's easily dispossessed by Pericard.
62 min - Kav has a dig 30 yards out with a left-foot volley, but it goes wide of Forster's left-hand post.
56 min - Good battling from United in midfield sees Anyinsah setup Pericard who has a try from 30 yards but slips as he strikes it and the ball flies wide of Forster's left-hand post.
54 min - Anyinsah skips away from Drury and again is brought down by the Norwich left-back. Harte comes across to the right-wing to take the free-kick which is headed back out to Murphy. He lays it off for Harte, who slices a high lob into the box that sees Forster claim the ball under pressure from a charging Keogh.
50 min - Pericard is really on form tonight, causing all kinds of problems for Gary Doherty who is having to pull him all over the place to stop him. Tonight's attendance is 3,946.
46 min - GOAL! Carlisle United 2 Norwich City 1 - I've not even had a chance to finish my half-time burger and United are back ahead! Pericard gets away from his man on the right-wing, cuts it back to Kevan Hurst who steers a superb low shot into the bottom corner past Forster. Lightning quick start from the Blues!
1818 - United get the second-half underway, attacking the Warwick Road End.
1805 - Probably a fair scoreline at the the break, both sides having their good spells. United started the brighter, with Hurst and Kavanagh linking well just behind Pericard. For the visitors, Hoolahan is a constant threat and Holt can never be ignored. Still plenty of action left in this one, I'll be back in 15 mins or so for the second-half!
HALF-TIME - Carlisle United 1 Norwich City 1
45+2 min - Not for the first time, Doherty hauls down Pericard when he's away. This time the ref spots it and gives United a free-kick on the left-wing. Just a quick word with Doherty, no booking. Harte takes this free-kick which is headed away as far as Murphy, who plays it to Harte. He sends a long ball to the far side of the box where Livesey heads down for an on-rushing Kavanagh but he miskicks the ball and Norwich are able to clear.
45 min - Free-kick as Anyinsah is tripped up on the right-wing by Lappin about 35 yards out. Kavanagh steps up and sends in a right-footed cross into the box but it's a poor one, over everyone and an easy claim for Forster. There will be a minimum of two minutes of time added on at the end of the first-half.
38 min - The mist has eased up a little bit, but the game has got a bit scrappy as well. No real clear cut chances for the last 5 minutes or so.
33 min - Drury sends a cross in from the left that finds Holt 12 yards out but he heads it well wide of Collin's goal.
32 min - Corner to Norwich as Livesey dives to head out a Hoolahan cross. Lappin takes a left-footed outswinger that Murphy heads out for another corner. Lappin takes it again and Keogh just turns it away, sending Anyinsah away on the counter but Otsemobor does well to track back and win the ball.
26 min - GOAL - Carlisle United 1 Norwich City 1 - Equaliser for the visitors and no surprise as to who it is. Hoolahan goes on a mazy run down the left-wing, dinks it back and Grant Holt stoops to head past Collin.
21 min - Hoolahan looks like he's away on the left-wing after a good ball by Lappin but the linesmans flag is up for offside. Replay suggests it was very very tight.
16 min - Free-kick to United on the halfway line after Russell catches Murphy late. The free-kick from Harte is a poor one but it eventually comes to Robson on the left-wing, he sends in a very inviting cross that goes into the six-yard box but the ball is just cleared by Doherty. It comes to Pericard who hammers in a shot but it's well blocked by a Norwich defender.
13 min - First booking of the afternoon goes to United's Graham Kavanagh, for a bit of a late tackle.
12 min - GOAL! Carlisle United 1 Norwich City 0 - United take the lead and it's that man Pericard again! Anyinsah goes on a run down the right-wing after being supplied by Kav. He dinks in a cross that's just behind Pericard and he improvises superbly to flick a back heel into the net. Great goal by the big Frechman!
8 min - Free-kick to United on the right-wing after Hurst is held back. Harte takes a left-footed inswinger but it's straight into the arms of a grateful Forster.
7 min - Good counter-attack from United as Anyinsah shows his pace to beat two players. Drury gets back to tackle him in the area but falls over and seems to clip Anyinsah as he gets around him, but it's only a throw-in for United. The live replay suggested that Joe may just have been clipped. From the throw-in, Robson sends a wild shot well wide from the left-hand side of the penalty area.
5 min - United's first chance of the afternoon as Keogh's long free-kick is brought down by Pericard, who shoots on the turn but it's straight at Forster in the Norwich goal.
2 min - Early corner for Norwich after Horwood took the safety first option to head out for a corner. Lapping whips in a left-footed inswinger from the right-wing but it's easily headed away. United break on the counter with Joe Anyinsah but his ball to Pericard is poor and Forster comes and collects on the edge of his area.
1716 - Superb timing, the fog is now ridiculous and we're struggling to see the pitch! The teams are now getting ready, with Norwich City set to kick-off. United will be attacking the Waterworks End in the first-half. Norwich get us underway.
1714 - The FA TV coverage has Ian Harte at centre-midfield and Peter Murphy at right-back? Believe me, they're not. Harte at centre-back as usual, with Murphy moving to centre midfield alongside Graham Kavanagh.
1712 - The internet coverage is now up and running, very good quality it is too. Both teams now out on the pitch and the mist is getting thicker and thicker... this could be a very comedic min by min report if it gets any worse!
1708 - To say it's cold at Brunton Park tonight is a slight understatement. Not for the faint heartd. Bit of a mist coming over the ground now too... not good for TV coverage!
1656 - In fact, even if you're watching online, why not keep up to date with my ramblings on here at the same time? I'm going to try and watch the game online as well as live, if you get my jist. If only to see how many mistakes I'm making with which player did what...!
1654 - Now I don't want to suggest you do anything but follow my coverage of today's game but as I'm sure you're all aware, the game is being shown live on the internet at TheFA.com, although only in the UK and Republic of Ireland. If you're exiled even further afield, then I do believe the game is being shown live by Setanta in countries such as the USA and Australia. If you can't find anywhere showing it, then feel free to spend the afternoon reading my usual warblings!
1652 - Quick bit of betting news for today's game - our official online bookmaker Bet365.com are offering odds of 9/4 on a United victory, while Norwich City are favourites to win at 6/5. If you fancy a draw you can get odds of 23/10. For more details on all the odds available, click here.
1650 - Taking charge of this afternoon's game is Mr Nigel Miller from County Durham. He last took charge of a United game back in February for the 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers. Graham Kavanagh scored United's goal that day, with Richard Keogh being the only player to pick up a booking.
Taking up the assistant referee duties are Robert JOnes and Scott Duncan, with Jeremy Simpson in the fourth official role.
1648 - Norwich do actually have quite a lengthy injury list, with Michael Spillane, George Francombe, Matt Gill, Owain Tudur Jones, Declan Rudd and Luke Daley all out today (and I'd guess Berthel Askou). They do include new loan signing Russell Martin among their subs, though another new player Anthony McNamee can't play due to being cup-tied.
1645 - One change for visitors Norwich City, with Michael Nelson coming in to replace Jens Berthel Askou. Making his 200th appearances for the Canaries this afternoon is centre-back Gary Doherty. The dangermen are of course, Grant Holt, Wes Hoolahan and Chris Martin, who have an impressive 35 goals between them already this season.
1640 - So there's two changes for the Blues, with Joe Anyinsah and Peter Murphy coming in to replace the injured Adam Clayton and suspended Tom Taiwo. Keeping his place in the starting line-up after making his league debut on Tuesday night at MK Dons is Adam Collin. A young looking bench, with Jonny Blake and Steven Swinglehurst making their first appearances among the replacements this season.
1637 - Ok, as promised, here's the line-ups for this afternoon.
Carlisle United - Collin, Keogh, Livesey, Harte, Horwood, Hurst, Kavanagh, Murphy, Robson, Anyinsah, Pericard. Subs - Pidgeley, Dobie, Tinnion, Blake, Burns, Kane, Swinglehurst.
Norwich City - Forster, Otsemobor, Drury, Nelson, Doherty, Smith, Hoolahan, Lappin, Russell, Martin, Holt. Subs - Steer, Martin, Hughes, Adeyemi, McVeigh, McDonal, Dankin.
1630 - Evening all! Or is it afternoon? I'm not keen on these kick-of times - it's neither afternoon nor night. But at least with the presence of the cameras, exiles are able to see the mighty Blues in action. It's going to be a tough contest this afternoon against a Norwich City side that are bang in form. Team news to follow shortly!
