UNITED DRAWN AT HOME

Posted on: Sat 14 Nov 2009

Carlisle United have been drawn at home to face Bradford City in the northern area semi final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The tie will take place week commencing 14 December 2009.

Manager Greg Abbott said: "We've said before that all you can really ask for is a home draw in any cup competition.

"Obviously I know a lot of people at Bradford, and I know they'll be looking forward to this one as much as we are.

""It's a competition where everyone knows just how close they are to the final, but the important thing is that we approach it properly. It won't be an easy game, but it's one that we can look forward to.

"You would expect Leeds to beat Accrington at Elland Road, but anything can happen in a knock out game. Whoever progresses in this competition, they will have to work very hard to do so, and no-one will be taking it lightly."
