CARLISLE UNITED 2 (Harte 21, Pericard 55) MORECAMBE 2 (Jevons 70, Duffy 86) FT

1656: Frustrating afternoon for United, who looked comfortable at 2-0 up but then in a mad ten minutes or so let Morecambe back into the game. It means United will face the Shrimps in a replay in a week and a half, with the date tbc here on the official site. I'll be back on Monday night for the Youth Team's FA Youth Cup game against Accrington Stanley, kick-off 7pm.

FULL-TIME - Carlisle United 2 Morecambe 2

90+4 min: United so close to a winner! Pericard turns well after a Keogh throw and plays it back to Anyinsah. His first shot is blocked, Pericard then heads it back to him and his second is also blocked. From the corner. It's played back out to Clayton whose shot is blocked and loops up. Roche spills under pressure from Pericard but the linesman flags for a foul as Anyinsah smashes it into the empty net.

90+1 min: Ball into the middle for Pericard who appears to be hauled down but no pen says the ref.

90 min: Corner on teh left for United as Robson plays it off Hunter. It earns Hunter a booking. Kav goes over and takes a right-footed inswinger but it's well cleared by the Morecambe defence. Five minutes of time added on.

86 min: GOAL! Carlisle United 2 Morecambe 2 - They may be down to ten men, but Morecambe are back level thanks to Marc Duffy. The substitute cuts in from the left and scuffs his low shot but it appears to bounce over the dive of Pidgeley and into the back of the net.

85 min: He's making a habit of these storming runs from right-back is Richard Keogh. He eventually gets the ball out to Robson on the left and his low cross sees Dobie not able to get enough of a touch and it ends up with Pericard on the right, but his cut back to Keogh sees the United man fall over.

81 min: Losing Drummond will be a big blow for the visitors, as the ex-Chester City man has pulled the strings for the Shrimps midfield this afternoon.

80 min: RED CARD - Clayton's first bit of action is to get tangled up with Stewart Drummond and the Morecambe man kicks out at the on-loan Man City midfielder right infront of the referee. No other choice for the ref to make there.

76 min: Looks a nasty one and unfortunately, Tom Taiwo is coming off, with Adam Clayton coming on in his place.

74 min: Taiwo is down injured for United after picking up a knock in a 50/50 challenge with Drummond. Dolly's on to give him some treatment.

71 min: Double change for Morecambe, with Danny Adams and Neil Wainwright coming off and Michael Twiss and Marc Duffy coming on.

70 min: GOAL! Carlisle United 2 Morecambe 1 - Long Morecambe throw-in is headed out for a corner by Keogh. The corner comes in and is headed away by Livesey but the ball back in is scuffed and Phil Jevons smashes it in off the crossbar. Game on?

68 min: United make that change, with Kevan Hurst coming off for Joe Anyinsah. Meanwhile, it's a free-kick to United on the left-wing after Robson is brought down. Kav takes it and his ball into the middle is headed wide by Harte.

67 min: Morecambe have a free-kick after Harte brings down Hunter 35-40 yards out from goal. Phil Jevons, who has been pretty quiet today has a crack but Pidgeley holds onto it well.

66 min: Looks like United are getting ready to make their first change as Joe Anyinsah gets himself ready.

64 min: Morecambe just can't get the ball off United, as Kav is urged to shoot he loses control and slips onto his backside, much to his team-mates amusement. Keogh then goes on a surging run into the box but his ball to Pericard is just behind the big forward and Morecambe clear.

63 min: Straight up the other end and Morecambe really should have got a goal. A good cross from the left by Wilson finds Mullin totally unmarked from 6 yards out but he pokes the ball straight at Pidgeley.

62 min: Great football by United as they keep possession and frustrate Morecambe. Harte then plays a superb crossfield ball to Hurst who sends in a very teasing cross but Dobie can't quite get there and Roche claims it.

60 min: Today's attendance is 4,181. A terrific effort in dreadful weather conditions.

58 min: Correct score at the top of the page now. One day I'll actually remember to change it after we score!

57 min: We'll try and find out after the game who got the final touch, but I don't think any Morecambe player wants to claim it so as it stands, it's big Stan's goal.

55 min: GOAL! Carlisle United 2 Morecambe 0 - From the free-kick, Ian Harte whips the ball in and it comes off someone's head to make it 2-0 to United. Dunno on the tannoy has given it to Vincent Pericard but it looked like an own-goal from up here. Hard to tell as about 4 or 5 players went for the header!

54 min: A loose ball sees a charging Keogh get to the ball first and Laurence Wilson brings him down as he's away down the right-wing. Second yellow card of the afternoon.

52 min: Another corner for United, this time on the left-wing. Hurst goes across to take a right-footed inswinger which finds Livesey but he can only head it back to Hurst, who whips in another right-footed cross but a Morecambe defender does well to get a foot in and clear as Harte looked to get on the end of it.

51 min: Kev Hurst does well on the right-wing, winning a corner off Bentley. He takes the kick himself and it's a decent one into the six-yard box but Bentley does well to head it away.

47 min: Free-kick on the left for United as Bentley barges Dobie over. About 15 yards inside the Morecambe half, Kav takes it but it doesn't get past the wall and is cleared to safety by a Shrimps defender.

1604: Both teams are now back out on the pitch and Morecambe get us back underway, with United now attack the Warwick Road End.

1549: Just about a fair scoreline at half-time, with United dominating early on but Morecambe have grown in confidence and Drummond in paticular has impressed in midfield. Should be an interesting second-half, especially as the rain still hasn't stopped and if anything, is getting heavier! Back soon for more action.

HALF-TIME - Carlisle United 1 Morecambe 0

45 min: Fourth official has indicated there will be a minimum of one minute added time at the end of the first-half. I don't think they fancy being out there any longer than they have to!

44 min: What a superb through ball that is by Richard Keogh and Pericard is through one-on-one with the keeper but the flag goes straight up. Right decision, but Pericard is quick to applaud the original pass by Keogh.

43 min: Good counter attack down the right by United sees the Hurst cut the ball back from the byline to Robson but he's tackled and it's a corner. Hurst again takes a right-footed outswinger and beats the first man but it's claimed superbly by Roche through a crowd of players.

41 min: Taiwo has the ball in the net after Hurst's shot is blocked by the keeper but Hurst was flagged offside and it's a Morecambe free-kick.

40 min: Horwood tackles Wainright and then Robson's about to go on a run before the Morecambe man brings him down. Cynical foul and the first booking of the afternoon goes to the Morecambe right wing-back.

38 min: Morecambe are struggling with United's counter attacking play and Robson and Dobie forces Parrish to slice a clearance out for a corner. Hurst again with a right-footed outswinger but again, it doesn't get past the first man.

36 min: Good play between Hurst and Keogh again on the right sees the United right-back go on a storming run into the box but it's a good tackle by a Morecambe defender to concede a corner. Hurst takes a right-footed outswinger but it's poor and doesn't beat the first man.

34 min: Superb save by Pidgeley as Mullin is given time and space to try and pick his spot in the far corner, but the United keeper parries it and Tom Taiwo completes the clearance.

33 min: Hurst and Keogh do well to keep possession on the right-wing for an extended period. Hurst then gets the ball out of his feet and sends in a teasing cross but no-one attacks it and Roche claims easily. Up the other end, a cross from the left-wing by Stanley finds Wainwright at the far post but it's a good block by Harte as he smashes the ball towards goal.

28 min: Some excellent one-touch football on the right by Morecambe sees the ball come to Wainwright by the right-wing corner flag and he sends in a teasing cross along the six-yard box that evades everyone and comes to Adams on the left whose cross is blocked by Keogh for a corner. The corner comes to nothing as Pidgeley comes through a crowd of players to punch to safety.

24 min: First sign of the weather affecting Roche as he comes for a Horwood cross and it slips through his hands, but a defender's there to clear it to safety. About 30 seconds later there's a good cross from Keogh on the right but the Morecambe keeper claims well this time.

23 min: Wainright has it on the right for Morecambe and skips past Robson before sending in a very testing cross for Pidgeley but he gathers under pressure just under his crossbar.

21 min: GOAL! Carlisle United 1 Morecambe 0 - United win a free-kick on the left-wing after Robson is pulled down by Wainwright. Normally Ian Harte would be taking it but he leaves it to Kav and it proves a smart move, as he whips in a cross that Harte gets on the end of to head past Roche to make it 1-0 to United.

17 min: Almost a moment of comedy defending at the back s Pericard shakes off his man and looks like he's clean through but goalkeeper Roche is alert and comes out of his box and heads away to safety. The Morecambe keeper has looked decent so far in very tough conditions.

16 min: Pericard does brilliantly to flick a ball down the line and keep it in play and Dobie forces a corner off Bentley. Robson takes a left-footed outswinger again and but it swings out and back into play so it's a goal-kick for Morecambe.

15 min: Good football by United sees Keogh find Pericard, who in turn plays it to Dobie but his deft flick into the box isn't read by any United players and goes out harmlessly for a goal-kick.

13 min: Now Morecambe have a gilt-edged chance. Corner from the left, it's a right-footed inswinger that Parrish heads back across goal and it's headed over by Drummond from barely 3 yards out.

11 min: That should have been 1-0. Dobie appears to be fouled on the edge of the box but it falls to Pericard. He has only Roche to beat from about 12 yards but he tries to pick his spot and the keeper makes the save. The rebound comes out to Hurst but th eball just won't sit up for him and he hits his shot straight at Roche who finally gathers the ball.

10 min: Quick throw taken by Robson on the left finds Pericard in the box. He turns Bentley but he slips up and Roche comes and claims the ball. Shouts of penalty from the crowd but no claims from the Carlisle players.

6 min: A long Pidgeley kick is headed out for a corner by Morecambe defender Bentley. Robson takes a left-footed outswinger from the left-wing but the linesman's flag is up as Roche flaps at the ball and it's a free-kick for the visitors.

5 min: Pretty scrappy so far but to be honest, it's not a surprise in these conditions. It's still bucekting down here at Brunton Park.

1 min: First chance of the game sees Vincent Pericard have a crack from 35 yards but his low shot is dealt with well by Roche in the Morecambe goal.

1502: United kick-off, attacking the Waterworks in the first-half.

1500: Apologies for the delay in getting this picture up... but I decide to wait until the ideal moment, when the soldiers were on the pitch! Just had the minutes silence for Rememberance Sunday, impecably observed.

Soldiers on the Pitch

1448: It has to be said, it's a dreadful day weather-wise in Cumbria today. Some smart alec (i.e. me!) left the house in a windbreaker jacket as it was only spitting... last time I make that mistake! Thankfully, a £3 umbrella purchased in a well-known sports store came to the rescue! You'd have to be a brave man to be standing at the front of the Paddock or sitting in the front few rows of the East Stand today. I'll take a photo in a minute to show you just how bad it is...

1445: For the visitors there's just one change, goalkeeper Barry Roche returns after injury and on-loan Ben Smith drops out of the squad as his parent club Doncaster don't want him cup-tied.

1440: I make no apologies for the fact that I'll be dropping in U2 puns all over the place if Adam does come on today!

1439: So it's same again for United, sticking with the team for a third game in a row. Just one change, with Gavin Rothery replaced on the bench by new loan signing Adam Clayton. Will he be the one to come on and make a difference?

1437: Here's today's line-ups as promised -

United - Pidgeley, Keogh, Livesey (captain), Harte, Horwood, Hurst, Taiwo, Kavanagh, Robson, Pericard, Dobie. Subs - Collin, Bridge-Wilkinson, Murphy, Anyinsah, Offiong, Kane, Clayton.

Morecambe - Roche,, Adams, Bentley (captain), Stanley, Hunter, Jevons, Wainwright, Drummond, Wilson, Mullin, Parrish. Subs - Moss, Twiss, Curtis, Davies (GK), Craney, Duffy, McStay.

1434: Afternoon folks and welcome to this afternoon's FA Cup Minute by Minute report. We've been blessed with good weather so far this season... until now. It's a very very wet Brunton Park this afternoon but the pitch looks in very good nick, considering how bad the rain has been these last few days. Team news is here already, we'll have that for you in just a sec.
