30 secs - Foster jinked his way down the left flank and delivered an excellent cross to the far post. Beattie connected with a volley but Collin was down sharply to palm the ball away for a corner.
5 mins - Carl Osman twisted away from his marker on the edge of the box and Steve Swinglehurst survived the half hearted penalty appeals when he did enough to get the ball away from danger.
6 mins - Alex Taylor opened the scoring when he raced on to a misjudged back header from Tom Aldred, as he tried to deal with a long ball forward. The nippy striker kept his cool and slid the ball under Adam Collin as he raced out to make the block. Kendal 1 - 0 United.
9 mins - Martin McBride swung a wicked free kick into the box but there were no blue shirts there to greet it.
14 mins - Dave Foster made it two goals to the home side with a wonderful volley. He held his position on the penalty spot and hooked his boot around the dropping ball, lobbing it over the stranded Adam Collin in the Carlisle goal. Kendal 2 - 0 United.
18 mins - Simon Lakeland put his keeper under real pressure with an underhit back pass. Collin raced out and blocked the shot from Wisdom, saving the blushes of the young defender.
32 mins - Fraser McLaren found unexpected space on the edge of the area and tried to find the top corner with a placed shot. Dave Newnes moved across quickly to gather.
33 mins - Dave Foster glanced a curling cross from Walmsley towards goal and the slightest of deflections from Jamie Cleary took it beyond Collin and into the back of the net. Kendal 3 - 0 United.
36 mins - Hallam headed over from a corner as Kendal kept the pressure on.
37 mins - Warren Beattie tried a first time volley when Wisdom centred from the left, but a toe-in from Aldred took the sting out of the shot.
41 mins - A cross from Simon Lakeland tempted Yan Klukowski into the challenge. George Melling had to put something on it, but his header succeeded only in sending the ball into the back of his own net. Kendal 3 - 1 United.

47 mins - A great run from Tinnion took him clear on the left and his cross sat nicely in front of Fraser McLaren. With just the keeper to beat he skied his shot and sent it high over the bar.
49 mins - Conor Tinnion tested Newnes with a right foot shot that headed towards the top corner. An athletic dive and an outstretched hand did the job as the stopper tipped the ball away for a corner.
55 mins - A cross shot from Tinnion drifted harmlessly beyond the far post as he tried to pick out the run from McLaren.
63 mins - Mark Gillespie completed the save of the game when Mark Wren was sent clear. One on one he spread himself and somehow stopped a powerful shot with his left hand. Moments later he was in action again when he palmed a looping Paul Byrne shot over the bar.
67 mins - Andy Cook kept his cool and bided his time when he received an inside pass from Marwood. He outfoxed his marker before stroking it into the bottom corner from 17-yards. Kendal 3 - 2 United.
