United will travel to face Kendal Town for what will be their first pre-season friendly on Thursday 9 July after talks between Lee Ashcroft and the Carlisle management team confirmed that the game could go ahead.

Kendal, who finished in fifth spot in the Unibond Premier League last season, played host to Carlisle this time last year in a game that the Blues eventually won by 4-0.

The kick off time for the match is provisionally set at 7.45pm - to be confirmed on Monday.

Prices will be £6 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for U16's.

Last season saw a match attendance of 1051 - let's see if we can fill the Lakeland Radio Stadium this time round and give an added boost to one of our local clubs!
