Members of Carlisle United from the 2008-09 season will receive an added boost when the all-new Carlisle United membership scheme is rolled out later this summer as all member points accrued so far will be automatically transferred across to the new loyalty reward Blues' TeamCard.

The TeamCard (roll-out with the 2009-10 Season Ticket issue) will take the club into the High Street in partnership with some of the biggest retail names in the country, earning members reward points with every purchase they make.

Business Development Director Martin Hudson said: "We have been working with TeamCard for a number of weeks now and it is a project that we are very excited about.

"Once in place it will mean that our fans will be able to shop with some of the biggest named retailers in the country and earn loyalty points that can then be spent at our Blues Store, for example, saving them money on any club merchandise that is purchased.

"A huge added bonus for us is that it will also centralise all of the databases that we currently have. We have been all too aware in the recent past that communication with our fans on key issues has not been a strong point, and this move across to a single database will solve many of the problems that we have been having in that area.

"All in all it is a very positive step forward for us and we are sure that the supporters will appreciate the added benefits that it will bring."
