United forward Joe Anyinsah, 24, was under no illusions about the job that lies ahead on Saturday, or about the fact that he would like to be involved as the Cumbrians look to secure the three points they need to give themselves a fighting chance of staying in League One, when he spoke to the media on Thursday morning.
He said: "The manager does have some selection decisions to make, and obviously I would love to be part of it on Saturday, but whoever is chosen I think we all just want them to get the three points and see where that takes us. If you're on the bench you end up kicking every ball for the lads anwyay, because it's difficult to sit there and watch."
"We can't really worry about other teams during the game," he added, "because we just have to get out there and focus on our own job. The Northampton result has given us a little bit more confidence that there is a job for us to do, and the dressing room is fully aware of the situation that we're ,and we know what we have to do to get out of it.
"Millwall will make it hard for us because they have had a good season, but we know that and I think we're ready for it. This is probably the biggest game that I have ever been involved in, because of what's at stake, but as long as we are all focused on what we want to do then I'm sure we'll come through it.
"Everyone knows that we are capable of going out there and winning the game," he said, "but it's no good talking about doing it, we have to go out there and do it. It would be great to be the person who scored the goal to keep Carlisle up, but it really doesn't matter who gets it, as long as it happens."
