The message from the United dressing room seems to be clear as the big kick off against Millwall approaches, and that is that the real focus, away from all of accompanying hype, is on the task of coming away from the game with three points.
'Keeper Ben Williams said: "It's the biggest game of our season. They don't really come any bigger, to be honest, because of what's at stake.
"As a team I think we're going in to this game in quite good form, even though we haven't quite managed to pick up the wins, because we have been playing quite well."
"If we had managed to hold out for those extra few minutes in the last three games then we would be having a totally different conversation now," he told us. "We'd be safe and we wouldn't be in the position that we're in, but we haven't seen those results through and it has left us with a big job to do this weekend."
"The lads have been taking the mickey about the Jimmy Glass situation," he said. "We know that he's coming to the game but if we end up relying on me to score a goal then we're in trouble! For me, I think that it's more important that I do my job and try to keep a clean sheet. If we do that then we have to believe that we'll score at the other end.
"If needs be then I'll go up there, but my focus has to be on doing my own job first and foremost."
"Unfortunately I was in a similar position last season with Crewe, because we took it to the last game then as well," he added. "Results went for us on that occasion and we stayed up on goal difference. Having seen it before, it's the type of situation where you just need to stay calm and make sure that you go out there to get the win. I do feel quite calm about it in myself, because the job seems to be pretty clear. We keep saying it, but we have to win, and if we do that then I think that it is in our own hands."
When asked if he had a message for the fans, he simply said: "Get behind the lads for the full 90 minutes and we'll get through this together."
Ben Williams discusses crowd reaction to the other results as they come through and how he reacted when he saw the Northampton result on Tuesday, amongst other things, in an exclusive interview on United World. To find out more about United World, and to subscribe, click HERE.
