United winger Joe Anyinsah will return to training with the first team squad on Tuesday morning with a view to taking part in the full training sessions on Thursday and Friday this week.

Anyinsah, 24, was substituted during the Good Friday Oldham game when he felt his hamstring tighten and has since been restricted to specific rehabilitation exercises in a bid to overcome the troublesome niggle.

Manager Greg Abbott said: "Joe will be back with us on Tuesday and we will get him involved with full contact training on Thursday.

"That's good news for us because it might give us another option selection wise, but we will need to look at him and at how he gets on with the things that we ask him to do.

"What I would say is that it's not the type of injury that you can mess about with, so he will need to put in a full shift on Thursday and Friday for me to be able to consider him for Cheltenham."
