Carlisle United fans were today saluted for their crucial part in Saturday's thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over MK Dons.
The Blue Army generated the famous Brunton Roar once again as United stormed back from 2-0 down at half-time to win 3-2.
The noise from the terraces and stands clearly helped inspire the Blues, who have now taken 10 points out of the last 12 since Christmas.
Chief executive David Allen said: "I'd like to thank all our supporters who helped make it such a fantastic game with their backing for the team.
"If anyone needed proof of how important the vocal support is from our fans, then this was it.
"It was an incredible game and at the end I think everyone involved with the club - fans, players and officials - felt on a real high."
Besides their vociferous support, United's fans were also praised for turning up in good numbers on a cold and wet January day.
The Brunton Park crowd of 6,298, which included only a small away following, was bettered by only Huddersfield, Millwall and Brighton on Saturday, while Stockport, Peterborough, Leyton Orient, Colchester, Crewe, Hereford, attracted smaller attendances.
David said he was encouraged that the turnout was higher than at six previous League One games at Carlisle this season.
He added: "I think it reflects the improving mood amongst fans since Greg took over as manager. Hopefully they will all be back with some friends for our next home game against Colchester on Saturday January 31!"
