The North Northumberland Carlisle United Travelling Supporters group held their annual Christmas event recently, and were able to entertain a very special guest.
The core of the members come from the village of Belford just off the A1 halfway between Alnwick and Berwick and regularly travel over to Brunton Park, although some claim it is only for the Brunton Pasties!
Over 35 members attended this year's event held in the Salmon Inn in the village with ex-Carlisle keeper Tony Harrison the Guest of Honour.
"We had hoped for Iain Moir and some other ex-Carlisle players to come along this year, but they were unfortunately unable to make it," said Transport Officer Steve Newman.
"We have members in Northumberland communities such as Felton and Alnwick and would be delighted if any one wants to join and come along to our events, or share travelling expenses."
As well as the usual quizzes there was also a superb hot and cold buffet put on with the toast to Jimmy Glass being taken traditionally at 9pm.
This year's main fine was that members had to have had a Christmas bauble secreted about their person, with all fines going to the air ambulance.
Plans are already afoot for the mid summer event ... which looks like being a barbecue.
Membership is free but a sense of humour bordering on the insane does help!
