Forward Scott Dobie made his first appearance after a three-game injury enforced absence on Tuesday night when he came off the bench to replace Simon Hackney in the 1-0 defeat at Edgar Street.
He told us afterwards: "It was frustrating to pick up the ankle injury because I felt that I was getting myself back. I had been playing in bits of games up to that point, so it came at exactly the wrong time. Hopefully I can move on from here and get myself fully involved again."
"The Hereford result is a really frustrating one for us," he said. "It was worse for me when I was watching from the bench because there was nothing I could do about it. When you get the nod to go on you do try to do the best that you can, because we all want to get the three points. I've already said that we're furstrated, but that doesn't really explain how we all feel at the moment. We had such a positive start to the game and we have to start making sure that we capitalise on things like that. We need to make sure that we get together as a team when things do start to go against us and grind out the results. If it's an ugly performance, then so be it, as long as we pick up the points."
"We are very much a confidence team," he added, "as most teams are, but we do play that much better when the confidence is flowing through the side. We have seen before, if we get on a roll, and get ourselves back to winning ways, then we are hard to deal with. If this run is anything to go by it seems to work the opposite way for us as well. We have to guard against that, and the only real way to do that is to stick together, work hard and make sure that we play ourselves out of this situation."
"I wouldn't say that we've had a problem with scoring goals," he said, "because we have a striker who is in double figures already. What we have to admit is that we've conceded too many, and we have to pull together as a unit to stop that from happening. We're creating chances at one end, but we have to do something about it at the other end as well. We conceded from a set piece on Tuesday, and we're not happy with that at all. Again, if you look at last season you see that it's something that we were good at - both attacking and defending set pieces - so we know that it's something the squad can deal with."
"Coming on from the bench gives you the opportunity to make an impact," he explained, "but it is slightly harder when the team is behind. However, if you can go out and make a difference, or add to the options, then it helps to show that you should be starting. I was returning from injury in the Hereford game, so I was determined to show that I was ready to play my part again. Hopefully I did that, but it is just a shame about the result."
