23-year-old United striker Danny Graham is one of four players who find themselves in the running for the August 2008 League One Powerade Player of the Month award.

Graham, who scored his first ever career hat-trick in the 4-1 win over Yeovil on Saturday, is up against Matt Fryatt (Leicester), Jermaine Beckford (Leeds) and Chris Taylor (Oldham), with the winner to be announced on SKY SPORTS Big League Weekend on Monday at 6pm.

John Ward said: "I think we've said before, if people are being linked with awards like this then it tends to mean that the player and the team are doing something right. Danny has done well, and hopefully we will see more of the same from him in the coming weeks and months."
