18-year-old central defender Dan Wordsworth will stay on-loan with Kendal Town for a second month following an enjoyable first spell with the Cumbrian outfit.

Wordsworth, a product of the successful United Youth programme, signed a one-year professional deal in the summer, but is yet to feature for the Carlisle first team.

John Ward said: "Dan has been enjoying himself down there, and getting some regular football, so there is no reason why we shouldn't allow him to stay for another month."

"Hopefully he will continue to benefit from his spell with them, and obviously it is a move that is of benefit to Kendal as well."
