NEW LOOK MAGAZINE ON SALE
Fans will be able to pick up a Matchday Magazine at Carlisle United's first home League One fixture of the new campaign on Saturday for exactly the same price as last season's award-winning publication.
The glossy 76-page programme for the Crewe Alexandra game is packed with news and views about The Blues as well as a string of exclusive features and photos, in addition to a mass of detailed statistics and club information, all for £3.
Editor Andy Hall is looking to build on last season's success when Carlisle United's Magazine was voted the Most Improved of 2007-08 by the experts at Programme Monthly.
Andy said: "We are very proud of the way the Magazine has improved over recent seasons and grown into one that is now very highly-regarded by our own fans, visiting supporters and programme collectors and dealers.
"A tremendous amount of hard work goes into each issue, and Barbara and I would like to thank all our contributors and everyone else who helps produce it. There are always plenty of articles that Blues fans won't find anywhere else, like on the club website or in the local media."
The Magazine is available at Brunton Park on match days but copies can be bought in advance on Fridays (for Saturday home games) from the Blues Store and from Hodgson's Newsagents in Lowther Street.
A lot of exiled Carlisle United fans use the Magazine as a way of keeping in touch with what is going on at the club by joining the subscription service to have a copy of each one sent to them wherever they are in the world.
Barbara Abbott added: "The subscription service is an excellent way for Blues fans who are based away from Cumbria or living abroad to find out all the inside news at Brunton Park. Our subscribers combined with the large amount of Magazines we sell to fans at the games themselves has put us in the top three penetration rates for programme sales per average crowds from all the clubs that our publishers Cre8uk Ltd handle. When you think that these other clubs include Spurs, West Ham, Portsmouth, Wigan and now Stoke in the Premier League as well as Celtic and Rangers in Scotland, it shows you how far we have come."
