3 mins - Artell chipped a lovely shot in to the top corner from 9-yards out as United failed to deal with a Carr corner from the left. The big defender steadied himself before clipping the ball beyond a despairing leap from Williams between the sticks.

13 mins - Bridges dragged a left-foot shot wide from 14-yards following an excellent run down the left wing by Taylor.

23 mins - A decent spell of pressure ended for United when Bridges miscued a 22-yard volley and pulled it wide of the upright.

25 mins - Livesey nodded a huge punt from Roche over William's head as the pair seemed to misunderstand each other in an otherwise harmless situation.

29 mins - Taylor sent a teasing cross in to the box, eliminating the keeper and central defenders from the play, but Adams got there first as Hackney threatened to bring United back in to the game.

32 mins - The dangerous Neil Wainwright strode out of midfield to create space for the shot, but couldn't keep it on target as Murphy moved in for the challenge.

33 mins - Bridge-Wilkinson put Taylor inside the box, and the tricky wide man wasted no time in delivering a low cross that was heading right for the waiting Scott Dobie. Barry Roche got down smartly to palm the pass away, nicking it off the advancing attackers toes.

36 mins - Morecambe carved Carlisle open with a smart move down the right wing that gave Carr the chance to cross early. Blinkhorn got on the end of it, forcing a point-blank save from United keeper Ben Williams.

44 mins - Wainwright combined with Blinkhorn in a slick one-two passing move that took him in to the Carlisle area. His crisp drive had goal written all over it until Williams went full-stretch to palm it away from the bottom corner.

48 mins - Morecambe passed the ball well to create a shooting chance for McLachan. Livesey got across quickly to block it, making it easy for Williams to gather.

49 mins - Livesey was on hand again to block as Blinkhorn pulled the trigger on a thundering volley.

52 mins - A mazy run from Raven led to a hurried shot from Hackney that ended up on the roof of the net via the boot of Garry Hunter.

57 mins - Michael Carr was inches away from making it 3-0 with a snapshot from 23-yards that zipped just past the post.

59 mins - Raven was needed this time as Blinkhorn wound one up from close range in what was a good spell for Morecambe.

65 mins - Scott Dobie rattled the base of the post with a curling shot that had Roche beaten all-ends up.

69 mins - It became end to end as a Bridge-Wilkinson cross was scooped from beneath the bar by Roche. Raven tried to poke it in from close range, but the Shrimps broke quickly with Hunter. He slid it across to O'Carroll, but Bridge-Wilkinson had covered the ground to get his body in the way, and force the corner.

74 mins - Raven completed a wonderful clearance as O'Carroll curled the ball towards the far post. Drummond was a whisker away from diverting an Artell header in to the back of the net from the resulting corner.

76 mins - Cleveland Taylor came close to opening his account with a run and shot that whistled just over the bar.

81 mins - A rasping Bridge-Wilkinson shot brought the best out of Roche as it arrowed towards his top corner.

84 mins - Danny Carlton beat Roche at his near post when Graham fed a lovely pass in to his path in the box.

90 mins - Bridge-Wilkinson hit the bar with a floated free kick that had the keeper beaten.
