After consultation with members, and in a shake up ahead of the 2007 / 08 season, Lottery Manager Ewan Wood has redesigned the way that both the Lotto and Premier Club draws will work.
He told us: "After receiving feedback from a number of Premier Club members, we have decided to reduce the annual jackpot from £15,000 to £5000, which we will present during December, to enable us to create more cash prize winners. We have, therefore, introduced a monthly draw for £1000, in addition to the normal Premier Club prizes. This means that this year we will be giving away £2000 more than last year, and members will have an extra 12 chances to win a cash prize, rather than just the one off Christmas event. We listened to what our members were saying and, as I say, the changes mean that this will create an opportunity for there to be many more winners than we otherwise would have had."
"As far as the Lotto is concerned," he added, "we are introducing a new £1000 draw, every second month, starting in August. The £10,000 jackpot will remain unchanged, and will continue to be drawn in July. These changes will make things much more exciting across the board, but especially for our Premier Club and Lotto members."
