Final agreement has been reached with Newcastle United this afternoon confirming that the friendly fixture on 21 July 2007 will be played here at Brunton Park.

The Magpies have also confirmed that they will not be playing any other matches on that day, and that they are likely to send a strong squad to take part in the game.

Ticket prices and further details for all of the friendlies will be released once final confirmation is in from all parties concerned.

The following pre-season friendly fixtures are now confirmed:

Saturday 14 July 2007 - Barrow (a) - kick off 3pm

Saturday 21 July 2007 - Newcastle United (h) - kick off 3pm

Saturday 28 July 2007 - Queen of the South (a) - kick off 3pm

Tuesday 31 July 2007 - Middlesbrough (h) - kick off 7-45pm

Saturday 4 August 2007 - Blackpool (h) - kick off 3pm

One further possible fixture is awaiting confirmation.
