It's been a successful first season with United for 22-year-old Dave Raven as he has made the right back spot his own.
However, it was a disappointed defender that gave us his thoughts after the Swansea game: "It was a disastrous start really. It was one of those things that you just can't do much about, Trundle's just a good footballer. He's a big lad, and you've got to keep your eye on him because he can do anything, although I did think we dealt with him better in the second half as he tired a bit. I think we started too slowly in general. They were quicker to the ball than us and, for the first 10 or 20 minutes in particular, we were far too sloppy. Eventually we got ourselves back in to it and I thought it was a good game after that to be honest."
"Maybe it was just a little bit of tension," he admitted. "It was a big game for us and a couple of the lads haven't been in this position before. Swansea did seem to cope with it a little bit better than us at the start, but as soon as we got a foothold then I thought we gave as good as we got. We could well have gone on to win the game, but we were a little bit unlucky in the end."
"At half time the Gaffer told us that we needed to be tighter and sharper on the ball," he told us. "We had to pass it better, two touch, one touch stuff, and hunt in packs. Basically we just had to sharpen up all round the field. We did that for a long time and it was paying off, we did well in the second half. We changed it round a little and Johann went up front, and to be honest he was fantastic. He's fast, but also a strong lad and he's going to give any defender a nightmare. He did well and he certainly deserved his goal. We had them panicking a little bit, I think. Perhaps after the first half they thought they had it won because, let's be honest, they played very well in the first half. Mind you, I think we showed people what we can do and we certainly had them worried. It was just a shame we couldn't go on to win the game."
On the late, late goal, he said: "I'll be honest, I didn't see it as there were a few bodies in front of me, but all the lads who did have told me it was a blatant handball. It's just a shame that that's the goal which has killed our season, but I suppose that's football, that's life, and there's no point moaning about it now. We've got one game left and we'll be going out to win, give it our best and also to try and enjoy it. They'll probably be the same. They are champions and they'll be wanting to put on a good display for their fans, so I think it should be a good one."
