FA and Football League rules on suspensions following red cards mean that 19-year-old midfielder Luke Joyce will miss today's home game against Bournemouth.

Joyce, who has started the last 5 games for Neil McDonald, received an 83rd minute second booking that meant he had to leave the field of play on Saturday, which automatically ruled him out for the next first team fixture.

United Managing Director John Nixon spent Easter Sunday discussing the position with the League authorities, and a mid-day phone call to the club today confirmed that the player has to miss the game.
