Left winger Lewis Neal scored his first goal for the club in the home game against Stockport on Saturday, and we took the opportunity to talk to him about it shortly after full time.
He said: "The lads are obviously bitterly disappointed with the result because we felt that we deserved something out of the game.
"Once we scored the goal I felt that we had the momentum to then go on and maybe win the game, but we left ourselves a little bit short at the back and we got punished for it."
"The first goal was one where they have broken quickly," he said, "but there was an element of luck in it. He has taken his shot from a long way out and it took a wicked deflection, but it is still a goal and we had to deal with it. Like I say though, I thought we would go on to win it once we got our goal back."
"The message at half time was for us to keep plugging away," he told us. "We were creating chances and we looked quite dangerous when we were going forward. That's been the case throughout the last three games that I have been involved in and if we continue to do that then we will score more than we concede."
"Our goal came at a good time for us," he admitted. "We had most of the possession after it but, as I said earlier, we left ourselves open at the back. They sent a long ball over the top and they got themselves in, which was really unfortunate from a defensive point of view as far as the team is concerned. We all should have done much better to prevent that situation."
"I enjoyed my goal," he said. "I've had one or two chances since I came in to the side and it's nice on a personal level to get my first for the club. However, it's been overshadowed by the result because that's the main thing. We don't want to be looking over our shoulders, we want to be looking up the table, and a result like this keeps us in the wrong place as far as we are concerned. All we can do now is roll our sleeves up on Tuesday night and start again."
"Fitness wise I felt much better today," he added. "I was starting to feel a little bit tired towards the end but I just want to get as many minutes under my belt as I can and that will continue to improve. Hopefully I will continue to improve my game along with it."
"It was a very quiet dressing room after the game," he told us. "We are really disappointed that we didn't get anything out of it because we did enough to at least get a draw. That's football though and we have got to get on with it. Peterborough are flying and they are where they are for a reason. We'll be going there to play the way we did against Brighton and, if we do, then we know we can do the job."
