NICE TO SCORE IN ANY GAME

Posted on: Tue 17 Feb 2009

We caught up with Joe Anyinsah on Monday morning for his reaction to the win at Brighton this weekend.

He said: "Getting the goal was pleasing on a personal note but the team performance was the most important thing on Saturday.

"It's nice to score in any game and it was a little bit more special scoring on Saturday having been at Brighton earlier this season but the most important thing was the three points.

"I'm enjoying playing upfront at the moment. It's not my most natural position as I'm a right winger first and foremost but I can play up top. I'm used to it as I've played there at Reserve level and at other clubs and for the first few games since coming back to the club. It's nice to play up there and score a few goals as well.

"We went in at half-time and it was 2-0 but the job wasn't done. Greg just told us to keep our composure and make sure we didn't concede and I thought we did that and the defence was excellent as well.

"Getting the clean sheet on Saturday was a really big plus for us as well. Greg's been stressing to us about keeping a clean sheet as we think we've got enough upfront to nick a goal or two.

"The new lads did great against Brighton and they've settled in quickly. That's what it's like here, everyone's made to feel welcome when they arrive and long may it continue.

"Everyone's looking forward to the next home game on Saturday. We're wanting to kick on now from the game on Saturday and get back on a winning run again."
