We spoke to Chris Lumsdon about his man of the match performance on Tuesday night.
"It's pleasing to have bounced back from Saturday," he admitted. "I know we got a draw, but we felt like we let ourselves down against Port Vale, so to come back here and play as we did, and get a good win, is very pleasing."
"Our home form is excellent" he said, "and all the lads were determined to get the right result tonight, and that's what we did. We wanted a win, but we wanted to win well too. We've worked all week on our passing, on moving the ball and moving it with pace and accuracy. We wanted to pass it effectively, and the best way to describe that would be something like not just passing it along the back four for the sake of it, but actually doing something with it and being positive, and I think that's what we achieved. It was certainly a good game to play in, and hopefully it was a good game to watch, because I thought we could have scored a couple more."
"I think if you matched our lads up with their opposite numbers, then an awful lot of our players came out on top," he added, "and that's what it's all about. We got a really good team performance from that game. At this stage of the season people will say that it's all about results, but when you do it as we did tonight then I think it gives everyone confidence."
"I was pleased with my own performance as well," he told us. "It's nice to be picked out as man of the match, but you have to say that when the lads are playing like that then it's very easy to play with them. When we're on form then everyone tends to come through and do well. I was pleased for Danny with his goal, because he seems to have come out of that barren spell now, and he was absolutely everywhere. Keiren made a couple of top, top saves that were very important - there was one right at the end of the first half, which was terrific, and if you go through the rest of the lads you can pick something out, which made it a real one to 11 performance."
"We were able to give Matty Glennon some stick," he concluded, "because all he was talking about was the Chelsea game in the cup. Good luck to him in that though, I hope they have a great day."
