We caught up with the manager in the press box after the Bristol Rovers match yesterday.

Unfortunately the wind affected the recording - so it is part typed up and part audio for today:

"I'm very disappointed because, like I have just said on the radio, I didn't know we could play as badly as that. As the manager I take full responsibility for that, because there are a lot of people who have travelled here today and it just wasn't good enough for them to have to see that. We wanted a reaction from what happened at Tranmere and, unfortunately, we got the opposite to what I would have wanted and expected. We have not performed as you would expect a team in our position to perform, and that's embarrassing and, like I say, we will be putting that right.

I didn't make any substitutions because I wanted to see some kind of reaction from the players out on the pitch.  I wanted to see if any of the characters would come through and start to dig themselves out of what they had created. The thing now is that there isn't any one of them who could come to me and complain if they aren't picked for the next game. They haven't performed today and it's up to me to address that over the course of the next 48 hours as we get ready for the visit of Hartlepool.

Disappointingly we have conceded very early in the game from two corners. One of the last things that I told the players before they took to the pitch was to make sure that they knew where their players were at set pieces and to make sure they picked them up. That didn't happen, and suddenly you have a really hard job on your hands, and there is barely 15 minutes on the clock. We'll look again at how we defend the corners, because it's an important part of the game, and we can't continue to make silly mistakes. We've seen today that it costs us dearly if we get it wrong, and we need to stop that.

I've spoken to Richard Keogh and to his manager, and we will be talking further about that one over the next few days. We should know something a little bit more about it on Monday, we'll see what the position is of all parties concerned, and then we can take it from there."
