WEEKLY INJURY UPDATE

Posted on: Fri 11 Dec 2009

The latest news from the treatment room:

Marc Bridge-Wilkinson has resumed training following his knee ligament problem and will hopefully play some part in the Reserve game at Accrington next week.

Paul Thirlwell is continuing with his programme and we may scan him again before we step up to the next level of rehab.

Richard Offiong had scans last week following the knee injury that he picked up during training. They have shown that he has a small tear in his lateral ligament which will keep him out for approximately five weeks from now.

Joe Anyinsah was in with his surgeon on Thursday evening for a review of his hip scan results from Monday. He will now have an injection next Monday evening with a view to being ready for first team action again a week on Saturday.

Danny Livesey came off the pitch last Saturday with a hamstring problem. He has responded well to treatment and will hopefully be involved in tomorrow's game.

David Raven has another week on crutches and will go back to his surgeon again next week. We will have a further update after that.

Andy Cook has had his operation and, having spoken to his surgeon, we have been informed that the procedure went well. He is currently in a half plaster and on crutches.

Paddy O'Brien is progressing well following his ankle ligament problem and is probably a couple of weeks away from a return to training.
