WEEKLY INJURY UPDATE

Posted on: Wed 11 Nov 2009

The latest news from the treatment table is as follows:

Paul Thirlwell has progressed well with his rehab this week and will start light jogging with a view to increasing that to full jogging next week, all being well.

David Raven will have the operation on his hip in London, on Monday next week. Club physio Dolly will go down there to watch that and will no doubt faint as soon as the first incision is made (joke, he is, of course, a regular guest in operating theatres up and down the country - Ed).

Liam Davison fell awkwardly last Saturday and damaged his ankle ligaments. We are working on getting the swelling down at moment and we should have more information on the status of the injury next Monday.

Paddy O'Brien damaged his ankle ligaments in the FA Youth Cup game on Monday. Again, it will need work to get the swelling down and we will have a further update early next week.

Jon Ball has a slight problem with his thigh after his heroics in the FA Youth Cup game on Monday. We're working on easing that at the moment so he is not training fully until it completely settles down.
