WEEKLY INJURY UPDATE

Posted on: Tue 01 Sep 2009

The latest news from the treatment table:

Richard Keogh is doing well and the swelling is going down nicely in the ankle joint. We will now start to increase the rehab work that he is doing and begin to slowly build him up. However, we are still looking at another four weeks (approximately) until he is back in full training.

Marc Bridge-Wilkinson has now rejoined the squad for full training following his back spasm. He has had no reaction to that and we should see a steady improvement from here.

Tom Taiwo came off during the Orient game with an Achilles problem. He is undergoing further investigations but it is hoped that it won't affect him for too long.

Si Lakeland has had the movement range increased on his brace again this week and we will have him in with the surgeon for a further review next week. We will be able to give more of an update on him following that.

Liam Davison has stepped up his rehab work following his ankle injury and we hope to have him back in full training next week.

Jamie Cleary has started running again and we will continue to increase the intensity of that. It's possible that he will be training again next week.

Ben McKenna hurt his knee during the Youth home game against Oldham and we have decided that it will need a scan so that we can have a better look inside the knee. Again, we will be able to update you further when we get those results.
