STOKE TRIP FOR MUZZA
All the latest injury details from Dolly:
Karl Hawley is still progressing nicely. He's doing lots of swimming and Cardio Vascular work. He's starting to strengthen his ankle now, and he is doing a lot of exercises that will develop the joint. Karl is hoping to be back in about 3 weeks time. I'm not saying yes or no as to whether it will be 3 weeks or not, but I will admit that things are going well.
Simon Hackney is also progressing nicely. He's doing loads of exercises - swimming and CV work - and lots of strengthening exercises around his knee joint. You always get some little niggles when you've had major surgery, so he has suffered with a few of those, but it's nothing that will slow down his progress. He will be going down to Lilleshall in about two weeks time to spend a week on rehab with them, and his progress indicates he may be back in full training by the end of the season, as expected.
Paul Murray has been referred from our surgeon that he's seen in Bingley (Steve Bollan) to a Professor in Stoke, with regards to his hamstring tendon. I'm just waiting for his secretary to get back to me, then he should be going down to the private hospital in Stoke this week. We can only take it from there so, hopefully, we will have some more information at the end of the week.
Liam Atkin is coming along well with his thigh strain. He's doing some running this week, and should be back in some form of training by the end of next week.
Andy Hardman is about a week away from getting back in to training following his strained medial ligament, so that's really good news for him.
All in all it's not been a bad week, with no new injuries and our longer term lads making progress.
Keep well,
Dolly
