Newspaper reports today picked up on the fact that United could well find themselves rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the game when they attend their pre-season camp in Scotland.

The Cumbrians travel to St Andrews University 23 - 28 July, for a week of fitness training, which is rounded off with a friendly against Queen of the South.

Neil McDonald said: "Barcelona will be there as well, but they will be staying in a posh hotel in the area. Mind you, we seem to have been given the better training pitches, so we're happy with that."
