It was all hands to the shovels on Tuesday afternoon as a major snow clearing operation ensured that Greg Abbott was able to carry out a full training session on the Brunton Park training pitch on Wednesday morning, despite the best efforts of the cold weather.

The Youth team lads punctuated their regular snowball fights with pitch clearing duties, with Dave Mitchell and his crew doing the rest to ensure that the team had a decent surface to train on.

Greg Abbott said: "Training areas are at a premium at the moment, so the work that has been put in by everyone yesterday and today has been extremely important. We wanted to get the lads out there and doing some ball work, and this has allowed us to do that."
