THE LOTTO EXPLAINED

Posted on: Sun 24 Jun 2007

The Lottery act has very strict rules on how a lottery is run. These include:

- 45% of the total income is the maximum that can be used as prizes.
- 35% of the total income is the maximum that can be used on expenses.
- 20% of the total income is the minimum that must be given to the cause the lottery is using money for, in this case the CUFC development association.

The Blues Lotto will cover the whole of Cumbria and South Scotland.

Agents can have any size of area they want. They will get 15% of what they collect. If they take on an area away from where they live they will be paid a mileage allowance.
