A brace each for Hammell and Rudd took United through to round two of this season's Youth Alliance Cup as the young Cumbrians swept into a three goal lead ahead of the break.
"It was a great response from the lads and we saw some really good individual performances which, in turn, made it a solid team performance," youth coach Vince Overson said.
"They can all fee very pleased with what they did today."
