United took a first half lead when Tom White finished off a Jack Elliott cross from close range but Burnley battled back after the break and capitalised on two defensive errors to take the points.
"It was a really good game of football and both teams tried to play the game properly," youth coach Vince Overson said. "We deserved to take the lead but they threw the kitchen sink at us after the break.
"They equalised from a defensive mix-up and they got their late winner from a poor back pass from Connor Hammell. The lads will learn from that, though, and they can all feel really pleased with their individual and team performances."
