BREAKING: FA investigate alleged Hartlepool incidents

United ask for assistance with alleged incidents at Hartlepool game

Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that there is an ongoing FA investigation into the pitch encroachments allegedly caused by travelling fans during the 3-2 away victory at Hartlepool United on Saturday 29 August.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind supporters that contravention of ground regulations, which includes unauthorised entry to the field of play, constitutes a criminal offence. Any individual found to be in breach of these regulations will be dealt with by the relevant authorities.

Media officer Andy Hall said: “We were notified by the FA that they are looking into the reports of pitch invasions which happened during the game at Hartlepool at the end of August.

“To that end we would ask anyone who can help us to identify individuals involved in these incidents to contact us. We take this type of incident very seriously and we will issue banning orders for any supporters who break ground rules or regulations, home or away.”

Hartlepool United have also raised an invoice for £2,376 for repairs to damage caused to the seating area in the away end at Victoria Park.

If you have any information which could help to identify individuals who either entered the field of play, or caused damage of any kind in the away end, please call 01228 526 237 or email enquiries@carlisleunited.co.uk
