United came away from one of their longer trips with a creditable draw as the travelled to face Shrewsbury in Shropshire.
Youth boss Alan Moore said: We were much better all round in this game and the lads can feel pleased with their point.
"Hopefully it's a sign that they have settled back into things and we can kick on from here."
