FUTSAL: The day was a huge success

Update from the Leeds Futsal festival

The Carlisle United Futsal team took part in their first festival last week ahead of the kick off of their season on Wednesday 25 September. 

32 teams from 18 clubs took part in the festival - with teams from Accrington Stanley, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Bradford City, Carlisle United, Grimsby Town, Huddersfield Town, Hull City, Leeds United, Middlesbrough FC, Morecambe FC, Preston NE, Rochdale AFC, Rotherham FC, Scunthorpe FC, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan Athletic all involved. 
 
We entered two teams: Carlisle united A and Carlisle United B.

Each team played four matches.

James Tose, from the Community Sports Trust, said: “The day was a huge success and everyone involved had a fantastic time. 

"It gave our players a great opportunity to experience Futsal at an international standard Futsal arena and to gain some invaluable knowledge about the game, the opposition they may face and what is expected from them when the national league kicks off on 25 September. 

"The players performed to a high standard and were a credit to Carlisle United Football Club.”
