Midfielder joins Workington on loan
Carlisle United midfielder David Symington has today joined Workington on one month loan which keeps him at Borough Park until Saturday 14 March.“David needs first team football and this will give him the chance to get that,” manager Keith Curle said. “We know it’s a club that will look after our players and we think this will be a move which will benefit all parties concerned.”
Symington, 21, came through the ranks at Brunton Park to earn a one-year deal ahead of the 2012/13 campaign. This was quickly converted to a three-year deal as he started in impressive form.
He has scored five goals in his 89 appearances for the Blues, including the goal of the season from a 35-yard free kick during his first campaign as a professional.
