Business Club sponsors Whitehaven Development Centre
We are delighted to announce that the Academy’s Development Centre in Whitehaven has been sponsored by the Carlisle United Business Club.
Academy coach Ben Benson said: “The Whitehaven Development Centre is now in its second full season and the sponsorship package, from the Business Club, will safeguard the future of the centre for at least the next two years.
“The other pleasing thing about this is that it also highlights our commitment to the development of youth football in the local area. It backs up the positive work being done at the Development Centre, particularly when you consider that 25% of players who have attended the Whitehaven sessions have gone on to be signed by our U9 to U11 age groups at the main academy. A further 17% percent of players earned a trial.”
“Once again, we are delighted that the good work done by the players at the Development Centre has been rewarded by this sponsorship deal,” he concluded. “I would like to extend my thanks and gratitude to the club, the commercial department and the CUFC Business Club for their generosity.”
