Meeting called to discuss new stadium project
We are happy to announce that a meeting has been arranged for 7 September 2012 between council officials, councillors, the potential developer and Carlisle United Football Club.We have high hopes that we can now move forward on this project and we will look to achieve a positive outcome in September.
During the last two years the officers and councillors we have consulted have been extremely supportive of the project and have helped to point us in the right direction.
Consultations with shareholders and fans in November 2011 were also very supportive of the project and it appears that most of the 'building blocks' are in place to move forward.
The last official meeting between the club and council officials and officers was on 20 December 2011.
