Update from the first youth friendly of pre-season
United enjoyed an extremely good test in their pre-season friendly at Fleetwood in a game where they created a lot of chances and played some very entertaining football.
Academy manager Darren Edmondson said: "We were really pleased with what we saw today. Pre-season games are about watching passages of play and seeing that the lads are picking up messages, and we definitely saw plenty of that.
"We come away very encouraged and the lads can feel pleased with themselves."
United's goals came from Jack Egan and and own goal from a deflected ball into the box.
