At the Carlisle United Football Club Community Sports Trust we offer a unique opportunity for talented 16-19 year old football players to pursue a two-year Football & Futsal Education Scholarship.We are in our fifth year of running the course and have established a fantastic reputation for post-16 education provision gaining a 100% pass rate with all students.
The course offers a BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport (Equivalent to three A levels), work experience opportunites with CUFC CST staff, work based coaching qualifications in both football and Futsal, and the opportunity to represent Carlisle United in the North West Development League, the National Futsal League and cup competitions.
CST Assistant Community Manager James Tose said: "We think it's a fantastic way for youngsters to train like a professional athlete and to gain a first class education at the same time.
"You get to LEARN, WORK, TRAIN and PLAY which sets young people up with university and employment opportunities.
