Next year's crop enjoy a good day out
United's under-17 team travelled across to the Academy of Light last Wednesday to take on Sunderland's under-17's in what turned out to be a very competitive game.Goals from Josh Dixon, Luke Lloyd, Max Cowburn (pen) and Keighran Kerr eased the young Blues to a 4-2 victory on a day when plenty of chances were created.
Youth boss Darren Edmondson said: "We'd like to thank Sunderland for having us and for the way they looked after us.
"It was an excellent game played in a competitive manner. The lads came away feeling pleased because it was a good team performance and a positive result to go with it."
