Keith Curle ahead of the away trip to Grimsby
Manager Keith Curle spoke to us about tonight’s visit to Grimsby as the team looks to kick on from the amazing victory over Exeter City at the weekend.“Grimsby had a fantastic result on Saturday and they’ve shown again that they’re a very good side,” he said. “We know we have to go there with the right mindset and we have to make sure we do it properly.
“It will be a very difficult game for us but we don’t fear anyone and we’ll treat it as another challenge to be faced. We came in on Monday and immediately set about getting ready, having put the weekend behind us.
“That game has been and gone and it’s now about how we approach the game on Tuesday night. We know they have a fantastic playing surface and that it will be a good atmosphere, and we want to go there and give a good account of ourselves.
“We were on a very good run ahead of the Newport game and we know that if we want to stay at the top end of the division we’ll need to produce more of the same.”
“As we saw on Saturday, we have options and every single player in the squad wants to be involved,” he continued. “Players are taking their opportunities to show what they’re about when they get on the pitch and it’s leaving us with good selection problems.
“We’ve looked at how we think Grimsby will play and we know where they can cause us problems, but we’ve also identified where we can cause them problems as well.
“As I say, I think it will be a good game and it’s one we’re all looking forward to.”
