Community Sports Trust donate Christmas Tree to Oncology Unit
The Carlisle United Community Sports Trust made a very special delivery this week when they donated a Christmas Tree to the Oncology Unit at the Cumberland Infirmary.CST manager John Halpin said: “We found out from Sarah Hoodless, who works with that unit, that they usually receive a Christmas Tree from a local business or partner every year and, once we’d been told that, we immediately got in touch to help this time round.
“They do such fantastic work and we think it’s an excellent way for us all to say thank you to the staff at the same time as sending a little bit of support to the patients.
“It was lovely to meet them all when we delivered the tree on Wednesday afternoon and, I have to say, it took pride of place once it had been decorated.”
