BIG MATCH PREVIEW: Leyton Orient

8 September 2016

All you need to know ahead of the weekend game

A second consecutive home game in the space of a fortnight brings Leyton Orient to Brunton Park on Saturday and both sides will be looking to push on from the encouraging starts they’ve enjoyed thus far.

Manager Keith Curle said: “Orient are a good side and in Andy [Hessenthaler] they have a manager who demands performances. He’s passionate and he wants to win games and I can relate to that, because I’m exactly the same.

“They will be competitive and they’ll try to stop us from playing, but we know we have a good squad here. We think we know the threats they will bring and we have prepared diligently.

“It was good to see over 5,000 people here last weekend and hopefully they are spreading the word. We are trying to play the game the right way and we are determined to keep the good run going.”

The Mascots

Our mascots for this game are Luke Cross and Kyle Shankland.

Luke is a Reggie Lambe fan and Kyle tells us that Jason Kennedy is his favourite player. As for ice cream – you’ll find them munching on chocolate or mint choc-chip!

Have a great day guys!

The Man in the Middle

Our match referee this weekend is Mr Ben Toner.

Mr Toner has taken charge of six games so far this season and has shown 17 yellow cards, an average of just under three bookings per game.

Our last meeting with him was for our 0-0 draw at Cambridge in April when Hallam Hope and Mark Ellis were sent off. Tom Miller, Danny Grainger and Charlie Wyke were also booked on the day.

Our betting partner Sky Bet has some fantastic odds available on all match markets – click HERE for more details.

Don’t forget to join us in our Family Zone

EFL title sponsors Sky Bet helped us to restore our Family Zone to its former glory recently and it is proving to be extremely popular with our younger fans on a match day.

The Zone opens as soon as the turnstiles open at 1.30pm and closes just before full time, with fully qualified staff on hand to help throughout.

Entry to the Family Zone is for Pioneer Foods Stand ticket holders only. Supporters with youngsters who want to go into the Family Zone can switch locations at a cost of 50p (seated area to seated area) or £3 (terraced area to seated area) per ticket.

But remember, Family Zone ticket prices are £2 cheaper across the board – call 0844 371 1921 for more details! Adults and seniors MUST be accompanied by a child or junior to qualify for the discount.
