IM Events have a night not to be missed on the Brunton Park agenda for next month with a Sporting Dinner – with some very special guests lined up – which will raise money for both Carlisle United Football Club and Eden Valley Hospice.
A man who needs absolutely no introduction to Carlisle fans will be making a welcome return to the place where it all started as former United, Newcastle, Liverpool, Everton and England favourite Peter Beardsley takes the main spotlight.
And, as if that isn’t enough, Peter will be joined on stage by United boss Steven Pressley, assistant manager Tommy Wright, and the club’s director of football David Holdsworth.
Event organiser Ian Milburn said: “I think that if you’re a United fan this is one not to be missed. I’ve been with Peter Beardsley at a number of similar evenings and his recollections of his days with us here at Carlisle are fascinating.
“We’ll also take time to talk about the rest of his career where he played with and against some of the best players in the world at some of the biggest clubs, including at international level.
“That will be followed up by a question and answer session with Peter, Steven, Tommy and David and I’m sure no stone will be left unturned as we talk about all things football, from their playing days up to and including the work they are doing now.
“The venue has limited numbers [150 places] so I would book now to secure a place at what is going to be a fascinating evening of football stories and insight.”
Entry to the event, to be held in Foxy’s Restaurant at Brunton Park on Friday 22 March 2019, is just £20, including a Pie & Peas supper.
The event starts at 7.30pm on the evening, doors open from 6.30pm.
A raffle will be held on the night with the star prize a framed 1980 Carlisle United shirt, signed by Peter Beardsley.
Tickets for An Evening with Peter Beardsley and Friends can be purchased in person from the Carlisle United ticket office at Brunton Park - cash or credit card payments accepted.
